Sofia Coppola and Thomas Mars Set Wedding Date

The ’Somewhere’ director will tie the knot with her longterm boyfriend on August 27 at her father Francis Ford Coppola’s 19th century villa, Palazzo Margherita, in Bernalda, Italy.
The ’Godfather’ director Francis Ford is currently rebuilding and renovating the property for the nuptials and the ceremony will mark the end of the works.His great-nephew Gaetano Russo told WWD:
’The ceremony will mark the end of renovations at the palace, which will soon be inaugurated as a resort, open to the public.’The owner of Giardino Giamperduto, a luxurious guest house in the village, said they’re ’already fully booked, and four of our 11 rooms have been reserved by people linked to the wedding. Even if Francis Ford Coppola and his daughter are superstars, they still remain our ’paesani’ [compatriots] and we are proud of them.’
Sofia - who has two children Romy, four, and 14-month-old Cosima with Thomas - was previously married to fellow director Spike Jonze, who she divorced in 2003.
